Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a procedure designed to diminish the amount of skin around the vaginal area.  Often, there is obvious protrusion appreciated when standing and this excess can be irritated from normal everyday activities.  The procedure can be done in the privacy of our office under oral sedation and local anesthesia, taking from 1-2 hours, depending on the extent of the procedures (inner lips, outer lips, hood).  This procedure will not improve your sexual performance or responses, nor will it tighten the vagina.  Risks are possible and should be discussed with your doctor.  In addition, this procedure requires abstinence for at least 4 weeks.  Nevertheless, the vast majority of patients are delighted with their results.
